Marketing services for Markham businesses, and how to choose

Pick services by who your buyer is. Homeowners respond to local search and ads, business-park managers to outreach and credibility, and main-street shoppers to listings and local pages. Most owners need two or three, not all five.

The right service depends on one question: who writes the cheque? A homeowner in Berczy, a facility manager in Cachet and a shopper strolling Main Street Unionville each find businesses in different ways. Below is what each service does, who it suits and what it won't fix, so you can rule things out before you spend anything.

Local search by Markham community

Choose this first if most of your revenue comes from homeowners who search on their phones. Local search covers your Google Business Profile, your reviews, and a small number of service pages written for the communities you actually serve.

It suits plumbers, electricians, HVAC firms, roofers, cleaners, landscapers, pest control and renovators. It works slowly at first, usually showing movement over three to six months, then keeps compounding. It won't help much if you can't answer the phone or reply to texts quickly, because map results reward businesses that respond.

A quick self-test

  • Do customers say "I found you on Google"?
  • Is your profile category exactly right for your main job?
  • Do you have recent reviews from Markham customers that mention the work done?

If you answered no to two of these, local search is probably your biggest gap.

Choose paid search when you need calls now, or when you want to test demand in a new community before investing in pages and reviews there. We set a firm maximum cost per lead from your job value and close rate, and campaigns are paused or trimmed when they break it.

It suits emergency trades, seasonal businesses and anyone launching a new service. It won't fix a weak offer or a slow reply time; it only makes those problems more expensive.

Business-park and commercial marketing

Choose business-park marketing if you want contract revenue that doesn't depend on the weather or a homeowner's mood. The City's open data lists more than twenty business parks, and the companies in them often keep short vendor lists they rarely revisit unless something goes wrong.

This service suits commercial cleaners, electrical and mechanical contractors, signage firms, IT and security installers, and maintenance companies. Expect a longer sales cycle, often months, and fewer but larger wins.

Main Street and storefront marketing

Choose main-street marketing if you have a physical shop, studio or office that customers visit. Main Street Unionville, Main Street Markham and the commercial plazas each draw different crowds at different times of year, and listings, events and local pages need to match that rhythm.

It suits retailers, cafés, bakeries, salons, fitness studios, tutoring centres and professional offices. It's less useful for trades that never see customers at their own premises.

Websites that turn visits into calls

Choose a website rebuild when your current site is slow, out of date or impossible to edit, or when every other channel is sending people to a page that doesn't convert. A good site is the shared foundation: ads, map listings and outreach all land there.

We don't recommend a rebuild just because a site looks old. If it loads fast and people call from it, we'll improve it instead.

How the services fit together

Most owners do best with one fast channel and one slow one. Here is how we usually sequence them:

Your situation Start with Add later
Homeowner trade, busy but unpredictable Local search Paid search for slow months
New company or new service Paid search Local search once you know what sells
Wants steady contract revenue Business-park marketing Website capabilities page
Storefront on a main street Main-street marketing Local search for the shop
Site is the obvious weak point Website Whichever channel fits your buyer

Not sure where you fit? Look at our areas page to see how each part of Markham tends to buy, check the pricing, or call, text or email and describe your last month of work. We'll tell you plainly if you need less than you think.

We are a marketing and consulting service only. We don't install, repair or service anything ourselves, and none of these services include trade work.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to buy all five services?

No. Most Markham clients start with two: usually local search plus either paid search or a website rebuild. We add a third only when the first two are producing and you have capacity for more work.

Which service gets results fastest?

Paid search, because ads can run within days of approval. Local search and business-park outreach build more slowly but tend to keep paying after the effort, which is why we usually pair a fast channel with a slow one.

Can you work alongside my existing web person or agency?

Yes, as long as roles are clear. We'll agree in writing who owns which account and task so nothing is done twice or dropped.

Are these services only for trades?

Trades and home-service companies are the core, but main-street marketing and websites suit any local business. We don't offer services outside marketing and business consulting.
